Jack White received an honorary doctorate earlier today at the launching ceremony of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. The hero of the hometown was honored for his dedication to the city and his contribution to the arts, as indicated by the local affiliate of ABC, WXYZ.
Earlier this month, White participated in Loretta Lynn's birthday celebration, duet with Margo Price during a tribute show. He recently joined his rock band, the Raconteurs, for their first album in 11 years, Help us, stranger. The album arrives on June 21 via Third Man Records.
