Brianna Van Buren is wearing golden Invicta FC straw around her waist.

The 25-year-old won three straight wins on Friday night to conquer the eight-woman Invicta FC featherweight tournament, which would crown his new 115-pound champion.

This is Van Buren's dominance during his tournament career. In the quarterfinal of one lap, Van Buren doubled Manjit Kolekar to power and submitted with an armband after landing for a few minutes. Her semifinal win over Juliana Lima was very similar to her quarter-final performance, with the exception of the cuff-shaped finish. Van Buren stopped Lima early and controlled it for the duration of the fight.

In the final, Van Buren clashed with UFC veteran Kailin Curran, who defeated Sharon Jacobson and Sunna Davíðsdóttir to qualify for the final. "The Bull" crossed Curran in the first round with a two-legged takedown and controlled it for most of the turn, landing ground and pounding while keeping tight control over the top. The second run was the same story, but this time, Van Buren secured the back and rear choking.

Straw Champion Invicta FC is now 8-2 in her career as a professional fighter and is currently in a five-game winning streak.

In addition, two veteran fighters had successful debuts with Invicta FC.

In the main bout, Magdalena Šormová won a split decision over Kay Hansen, 19. It was a close fight, but after probably dropping out of the first round, Šormová set up dominant dominating control in the second and third rounds to make his decision. The victory improved the Czech fighter's record to 9-1.

Alyssa Krahn also pointed to her young opponent, Itzel Esquivel, 22 years old. It was a one-sided fight, as it served as a reserve fight for the Weights-of-Straw tournament. "Pumpkin Spice" was able to secure and quickly put an end to the fight and survive several bid attempts from guard Esquivel, Krahn is now 6-2 in his professional MMA career.
