NVIDIA deploys more powerful TU106-410 and TU104-410 arrays at the same price for 2070 and 2080 graphics cards

Our friend Igor from Toms HW Germany and Igor's Lab YT have just learned that NVIDIA will stop producing non-A Turing chips by the end of May. This is great news for gamers as it means that after May, the only Turing graphics cards they will be able to buy will be the most powerful A variants. These new chips will be called TU104-410 and TU106-410.

For those who do not know it yet, NVIDIA currently divides its Turing matrices (which feed the RTX 2060, RTX 2070 and RTX 2080) into two classes: A variants and non-A variants. Class A and non-A are the result of the performance theory that lower quality matrices have deactivated cores and generally have a lower clock cycle as well – and are called non-A matrices. An example of this is the matrix TU106-400-A1 which is a non-A variant. On the other hand, the matrixes of an exceptional quality and a higher rate are the variants A (example: the TU106-400A-A1) and are currently sold in the form of graphic cards overclocked at the factory, such as the series of graphic cards EVGA XC Ultra.

Similarly, the TU104-400-A1 was in fact the non-A variant and was sold at a lower price than the TU104-400A-A1 variant, which was overloaded at the factory and was more expensive. The good news is that not only does NVIDIA stop production of the non-A series dies, so you will only be able to buy the Series A form now: they will sell the same price at the same price as the non-a series! This is good news for all players on the market today, as it means you can buy a more powerful GPU at the same price – within a few months.

Expect OC-ed RTX 2060, 2070, and 2080 graphics cards to be cheaper by the end of May. There is currently no word on the 2080 Ti. It also means that you have to look for the Turing GPU that you actually buy when you are in the market. Stay away from the TU104-400 and TU106-400 matrices and opt for the TU104-400A and TU106-400A or TU104-410 or TU104-410 matrices, depending on your choice.

There is also the hidden implication here in improving the performance of the NVIDIA process and we can expect supply and demand to come soon and the general price decline over the next few months. It seems that Turing cards could become slightly more affordable in a month. In other words, if you plan to buy a RTX 2060, 2070 or 2080. Stop. Wait for the TU104-410 and TU-106-410 to come on the market, then make your choice.
