"The loss of Jackson Weller is devastating for the entire Lobo family. He was a very special young man whose absence will be deeply felt. On behalf of Lobo Athletics and the University of New Mexico, I would like to express our deepest condolences to his family, friends, teammates and others who have known him – keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Police in Albuquerque said officers had been sent to the scene shortly after 2 am and had found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man was rushed to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Police say that there is no suspicious information to disclose.

A man died as a result of a Saturday morning shootout near Central Ave SE and Richmond Drive SE, police said.
Police in Albuquerque said officers had been sent to the scene shortly after 2 am and had found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man was rushed to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police say that there is no suspicious information to disclose.
