925 HP Suzuki GSX-R1000 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Drag Racing

The Plymouth Barracuda, affectionately known as Cuda, is probably one of the most coveted cars of the 70s, with a reputation that exceeds the life of the Plymouth brand itself. This is a retro icon that inscribed in the urban legend of the car nuts because of their rarity. To such an extent that a rare Hemi Cuda got a $ 2.25 million auction price nearly four years ago.

In addition to its rarity, some of the valuable traits of the Cuda is the story that joins his name. From a Chrysler-based Valiant econocar to a muscular car that carries a huge engine block, the Cuda has developed, literally and figuratively.

As a production vehicle, the 1970 Hemi Cuda should be able to withstand modern racing cars thanks to its 7.0 liter V8 Hemi engine producing 425 horsepower and 490 pounds of torque.

But different today. We see here a green Cuda of 1970 with the same engine V8 Hemi of 7.0 L but with 925 hp – 500 more than its state of stock already powerful. It is permanently changed and although the video does not indicate if this Cuda was supercharged or not, a quick search on the Internet will take you to the same green Cuda sold online. If we believe the content of the announcement, the additional horses of this Cuda come from a so-called NOS system.

On this video, however, the green Cuda is against a modified Suzuki GSX-R1000. We do not know if any modifications are being made to the superbike outside its extended swingarm, but as soon as it leaves the showroom, the GSX-R1000 is expected to generate 157 horsepower and 77 Nm of torque, thus pulling its wet weight about 500 lbs.
