In the months following Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent dam failures that ravaged New Orleans in 2005, it was unclear how much of the city would remain, not to mention the question of whether the annual Jazz and Heritage festival was part of the story.
But that was.
The festival is back, and star Bruce Springsteen presented the kind of epic performance that will always be part of the city's musical legacy.
