Wade Miley won 2-2 after allowing both runs on six hits in six innings of work. Justin Verlander will start the final with a 4-1 record with a 2.45 silver and 53 strikeouts this season. In his career, Verlander is 12-9 with a 3.01 ERA and 168 strikeouts against the Angels.
The Los Angeles Angels will try to bounce back after being beaten on Saturday. Albert Pujols went 2 to 4 with a solo home race while Kole Calhoun also made 2 to 4 with an RBI in the losing effort. Matt Harvey will start Sunday's game and will be 1-2 with an average of 6.54 points and 21 strikeouts this season. This will be Harvey's second career start against Houston.
Houston is 21-5 in the last 26 starts on the road to Verlander and 8-3 in its last 11 divisional games while the subtitle is 5-0 in Verlander's last 5 starts. Los Angeles are 1-6 in their last 7 division games and 17-35 in their last 52 games against a victorious team while their team is 5-2 in their last 7 home games against a team with a right-handed. The extra money with the Angels at home is tempting given the quality of their performance, but even with a solid start last time, Harvey is still a pitcher extremely hard to trust. Verlander has a lot of money on the road since he has joined the Astros and has allowed a run in each of his last four starts.
