Launch of two new Fortnite Hours challenges for Season 8

Two new Fortnite Overtime challenges have been unlocked and are available for completion.

The overtime challenges were first introduced in Fortnite Battle Royale in season 7, with players being rewarded with the Fortnite Season 8 Battle pass at the conclusion of 13 of 20 overtime challenges.

Although there is no free reward for the Season 9 Battle Pass this time, players have the option to unlock new styles for Sidewinder, Ember and Master Key, as well as a loading screen and a XP season.

The first challenges of season 8 in overtime were released on Friday, May 3rd. When overtime challenges were made available, there were three Battle Pass challenges and two free challenges made available on Day 1. You can see these challenges below.

• Collect coins in the featured creative islands (20)
• Place the Top 10 teams with a friend (3)

Epic has now unlocked two new overtime challenges, rewarding each player with 1,000 season XP. Here are the two new challenges:

• Inflicts damage on opponents (1000)
• Place the Top 10 in Duos with a friend (3)

The last two challenges of overtime will be unlocked in two days and at the time of writing, players have 3 days and 18 hours to complete the challenge.

Season 9 of Fortnite Battle Royale is scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 8 and we could see a new teaser for the season released today. If this is the case, we will be sure to keep you informed.
