After months of rumors (and possible delays), Google officially unveiled Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL at its annual developer conference. As expected, these two handsets share many attributes with the company's high-end smartphones, but at a more affordable price.
Now that we have phones in hand for several days, we decided to ask you if the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL budgets were hot or not. Here is what you had to say.
Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL: hot or not?
Results
The race was tight, but a majority of you who voted in this week's poll felt Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL were very hot. After using the smaller of the two phones in the last few days, I must say that I agree with you.
If you compare the budget 3a to the higher budget 3, you will have to make some compromises. The fact that the processor is running slower and missing an IP rating or a wireless charge, I found that the 400-dollar handset was worth it. money.
Interestingly, the comment section does not seem to align with the survey results. Most people who had something to say wrote that Google charged too much for mid-level specifications. One thing is clear, though, and it's the fact that it's these two devices that you need to have if you want a first rate camera.
Remarkable comments
Here are some of the best comments from last week's poll explaining why they voted as they did:
- I must admit that Google tried, but not loud enough. For this price, people only receive the camera and Oled screen. Some may talk about software experience, but that's not important for someone like me who prefers to use features (IR and microSD ports, FM radio, a bigger battery, a double sim) + a price lower than that of a software experience. I guess this will be the ideal phone for people on a budget and for whom the camera is of paramount importance.
- Still expensive for India
- Do not! You can get a Mi A2 Lite for less than half the price. If you're looking for a budget phone, that's not it.
- It would have been "hot" if it had 128 GB. Otherwise, "No". Sorry, I just can not justify a camera-oriented device that only includes 64GB of storage, but omits / narfs free backups of original resolution / cloud-based storage.
That's it for this week, everyone. As always, thanks for voting, thanks for the comments, and do not forget to tell us what you thought of the results below.
