Mom says her daughter was seriously injured after visiting Macca

A girl was badly burned after asking for a water refill at McDonald's staff at an American airport this month, said her mother.

Emily Dolbeer had organized a trip to Disneyland with her family, including her four-year-old daughter Lainey, who was delighted to go see the Disney princesses and her personal favorite, Pluto the Pup.

But before the group boarded the plane for Lainey's dream trip, she said the little girl had been seriously injured at the Portland International Airport, reported news.com.au.

Ms. Dolbeer posted on Facebook the details of the alleged incident. Since then, she has spoken with the local media, claiming that her family had arrived at the airport and had settled at their boarding gate.

The mother and daughter then decided to take a McDonald's for breakfast.

"I ask the worker if he can fill my daughter's water bottle," she wrote.

She asks: "Do you want some ice cream?" To which I replied, "That would be great".

According to Ms. Dolbeer, her daughter's Disney Princess bottle was "double insulated" to keep cold liquids cold and hot beverages hot.

"You can not feel the temperature of the liquids inside by holding it back," she explained.

Lainey told her mother that she was thirsty, so she handed him the bottle.

Ms. Dolbeer said that in a few minutes, Lainey had developed painful blisters on the lip, chin and neck caused by severe burns.

The wounds have since spread to the mouth, tongue and chest.

Ms. Dolbeer stated that she had gone back to McDonald's to ask the staff for explanations, but that she had received very little support from the local media and that she was n & # 39; 39, had received only one call from the director since the incident.
