After a tornado that fell on Jefferson City, Missouri on Wednesday night, residents flooded social media with images and videos showing the effects of the storm.

A resident shared a video showing that the balcony of her apartment had been torn off the building and thrown on the roof of her mother's car by the tornado.
"The window of my room is completely blown with bricks. It's bad guys, "says Kayleigh De Rosa in the video.
KRCG reporter Elyse Smith shared De Rosa's video on social media, saying she showed "serious structural damage to Hawthorne apartments in Jefferson City."
Another user shared a video snapshot with a 12:14 time stamp in the Jefferson City area. The clip shows debris littering the streets that seem to be illuminated by the red and blue lights of the emergency vehicles.
"Very heartbreaking. Many prayers for all those who are affected tonight, "wrote Christopher Pipkin, aspiring meteorologist at Missouri State University, according to his bio Twitter.
A video claiming to show the funnel of the tornado was shared by another resident.
The Jefferson City Police Department has not yet confirmed the death toll but said several injuries have been reported, according to Fox 4 of Kansas City.

The Missouri Task Force One is asking residents not to call 9-1-1 unless they report a traumatic injury, the Kansas City Fox 4 said. The task force is asking residents not to help clean up the storm at this point.
