Shots in Virginia: Several people injured at party in Chesapeake

The shootout occurred in the Holly Cove area of ​​Chesapeake on Saturday night, police spokeswoman Leo Kosinski said.

All the victims were taken to local hospitals and the police conducted interviews with the people who attended the event to get more details.

The shooting started shortly after 21 hours. AND while the police were on the scene to investigate a traffic disruption, Kosinski said.

According to hospital spokesman Dale Gauding, at least eight gunshot victims are being treated at the Norfolk Sentara General Hospital. Information on the conditions of the victims was not known immediately.
