Several Fox-owned dealerships are likely to be buried in the coming years as a result of Disney's acquisition of the studio, but one that will certainly not be "Deadpool".
Disney has already said they will not let this franchise go dormant, but the return of Wade Wilson, the sneaky mercenary character of Ryan Reynolds, is unclear. "X-Force" seemed to be the next option on the table, although this project is at least pending, or even totally dead at this point.
A new and interesting rumor at MCU Cosmic suggests that the studio is considering several ideas beyond an expected third film. One would be the character appearing as a co-star in a third potential "Spider-Man" movie for Disney & Sony, another one made it back in a potential series of Disney +.
The two rumors, however, would mean that the studio should somewhat mitigate the character, because MCU and the friendly streaming platform for the imminent launch of the family will not live up to the type of language used by Reynolds. Nevertheless, fans and several actors within the MCU have been keen to see Deadpool play in their sandbox.
For now, no matter what Marvel's plans, we will not know until the studio unveils its fourth "Phase" in a presentation that should not take place before "Spider-Man: Away from Home "opens its rooms on July 2nd.
