(Reuters) – Tesla Inc. plans to charge its Model 3 vehicles manufactured in China between 300,000 and 350,000 yuan ($ 43,431 to $ 50,670) before subsidies, Bloomberg said Tuesday citing people close to the case.
The final price is still under development, said Bloomberg citing a source.
The electric car manufacturer is currently shipping model 3 vehicles from the United States to China.
Tesla is counting on its Shanghai plant, which is set to begin production this year, to manufacture Model 3 cars with the aim of expanding its product range and increasing sales in the world's largest electric vehicle market.
Tesla was not immediately available for a comment on the prices, but an announcement is expected on May 31, according to an article published by the company on social networks.
