Exclusive details
One of the shops featured on "Wars of storage"was robbed during the Memorial Day weekend, costing its reality TV owners a few thousand dollars and a grim clean-up day.
René Nezhoda – who runs the bargain shopping bargain store with his wife, Casey – Told to TMZ … a thief, or a group of thieves, broke the glass doors of his business in the San Diego area early Saturday morning around 4 am … and escaped with some of their property.
We were told that the culprits had stolen about $ 2,000 of rare coins that Rene and Casey had in their possession and ended up causing about $ 2,000 in additional damage to the store.
In total, the Nezhodas expect a minimum withdrawal of $ 4,000.
Rene and Casey posted a video of the after-effects later in the day, and it's clear that they were furious about the break-in. Rene goes so far as to call the culprit "the lowest idiot out there." Check out his tour on how burglars have come in and out … It's a pretty fun breakup, even if it's a deplorable financial situation for them.
Rene says that they have filed a police report and that the investigation is ongoing. Looks like the security system that the couple set up inside saved them from losing more things … because we were told that an alarm had been triggered during the crime and alerted the authorities.
