LOGAN, Utah – Latest news on finding a missing 5-year-old girl in Utah (all local times):

A man in Utah who, according to the police, is the only suspect in the disappearance of his 5-year-old niece, has not been released on bail and will be jailed as long as the child's search continues.
Alex Whipple appeared in court in Logan on Tuesday on charges of violating probation conditions.
Logan police chief Gary Jensen said on Tuesday that investigators had "solid evidence," including DNA, linking Whipple, 21, to disappearance. However, he was not charged with the crime.
Whipple's lawyer, Shannon Demler, declined to comment outside the court.
Jensen says that the evidence also indicates that the girl is injured but that the police did not specify.
Whipple was arrested on Saturday after the girl's disappearance. Police say that he did not cooperate.
Whipple has a criminal record that includes an assault involving domestic violence, possession of a stolen vehicle and drug related charges.
