Defending champion James Holzhauer continued his dominance of the popular TV game on Tuesday, winning his 29th consecutive victory with a score of $ 59,381.

This amount is huge by the traditional "Jeopardy!" standards, but below the staggering daily average of $ 77,756 from Holzhauer.

With Tuesday's winnings, Holzhauer's total earnings rise to $ 2,254,938, bolstering his second place in prize money and putting him under $ 300,000 from the "Jeopardy!" In an interview Tuesday with "Good Morning America" ​​on ABC, Jennings said that he had long thought that someone could surpass his incredible "Jeopardy!" achievements.

"For 15 years, I thought someone would try their luck with this album because I always knew it could be done, I was there," Jennings said. "I know it's possible."

He is surprised, however, at the speed with which Holzhauer has amassed prizes, approaching the Jennings series record in less than half of the episodes.
