Rejoice every morning with Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon GO Plus +

Almost exactly a year ago, Nintendo announced the cancellation of its planned initiative for quality of life. The new pillar of Nintendo was supposed to focus on non-portable devices that would focus on aspects of everyday life, such as sleep.

Now, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company and Niantic, Nintendo is currently developing the Pokémon GO Plus + (yes, this is the "plus plus"), a new device that functions as both a normal GO Plus Pokémon and a follow-up. some sleep. In addition to holding the worst title I've ever seen for a video game product, Pokémon GO Plus + seems to be a very unique experience. Simply place it on your bed and, as long as you do not take it out of your bed while you sleep, it uses its accelerometer to send information about your sleep to your smartphone.

Pokémon Sleep is a new game developed with Select Button, developer of Pokémon Magikarp Jump. Pokémon Sleep uses information such as the length of sleep and the time you woke up to affect the game. The game will be released in 2020.

For me, the problem here is that the Pokémon company is trying to hit the lightning twice after the success of Pokémon GO. They want to make fun of sleep, but personally, almost everyone I know already likes to sleep. So, I think this game and this device must be a convincing hook to convince people to incorporate Pokémon into their nighttime routine. Pokémon GO has helped people become more active than before, but I hesitate to believe that Pokémon Sleep can have the same impact. As we have so little information, I am always looking forward to seeing what will be the big hook.

Are you excited about introducing Pokémon into your sleep cycle? Or are you worried about losing sleep because you are too excited to wake up and play Pokémon Sleep? Let us know about Twitter!
