At the press conference on the Pokémon 2018 video game of last year, the Pokémon company announced Pokemon Quest for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. The game was released on Switch the same day and was finally launched on mobile devices in June.
A year later, it was revealed that the Chinese version of Pokémon Quest – managed by NetEase – would be an improved version. The game will include social features and a player verse option. It was also revealed that NetEase was working with The Pokémon Company to introduce more Pokémon games in China in the future. Since Pokémon Quest was revealed for this venue, more than 1.7 million players have already registered to play the game.
