Dominic Thiem accused Serena Williams of having a "bad personality" after being relocated from a press conference room to the French Open to make way for the American star.
After being knocked out of Roland Garros by Sofia Kenin, Williams apparently wanted to end his media commitments as soon as possible.
Thiem was invited to leave his press conference and to leave him the place and the Austrian was not impressed.
"I do not really understand, seriously, I mean, what is this mess?" No, but it's a joke, really … I have to leave the room because she's coming? " Thiem told reporters close.

Thiem booked his place in the round of 16 with a victory in four sets against Pablo Cuevas in Paris.
"What do I mean I have to leave the room because she's coming in. Well, I'll leave at that time too, I can do what I want."
Later in an interview with EuroSport, he stated that Williams had a "bad personality".
"I was neither angry nor frustrated, maybe for a few minutes, it's just the principle," he said.
"It does not matter, if it's me who sits inside, I've made a false statement anyway, I've said I'm no longer a junior." But even if a junior is present, each player must wait.
"It also shows a bad personality in my opinion, I'm 100% sure that (Roger) Federer or (Rafa) Nadal would never do such a thing."
Williams has not commented on the incident yet.
"Yesterday was not my day," she wrote on Instagram following her defeat against Kenin.
"But you have to get up from time to time after your fall, here is a multitude of tomorrows."
Swiss star Roger Federer was humorous when asked to comment.
"I just think it was an unfortunate situation that I thought was funny and we joked it just before," Federer said.
He defended Thiem, describing him as "a superstar, a male superstar".
"You know, I do not know what's wrong, but something went wrong for that to happen," Federer said. "I think there is always, with all the players, a way to take it in. You know, whoever is still in the tournament has priority. like that I see things.
"Now there must have been a misunderstanding or maybe they should have kept Serena in the locker room, without waiting here at the press center, I do not know exactly what happened." I understand the frustration of Dominic. "
