This is a complete overview of the life of the condemned INXS icon.
The first trailer is out for Mystify, a new documentary on the life of Michael Hutchence, star of INXS in difficulty.
The film, which received rave reviews earlier this year, examines the history of the icon of Australian music and the events that led to its untimely death in November 1997.
In addition to testimonies from close friends of Hutchence and his family, the film also offers unpublished footage, offering a new insight into the life of the singer on and off the stage.
"It was the complete package," a voice-over from a close friend teases early. "Everyone wanted a piece of it."
The film also examines Hutchence's relationship with Kylie Minogue – who is herself present in the film.
"If you're a sensual being, all your senses need stimulation," Minogue said in the new clip. "A lot of it was based on pleasure … let's face it."
The film also features interviews with Bono, surviving members of the band, Hutchence's brothers and sisters, Rhett and Tina, his stepmother Susie and producer Nick Launay.
The film also sees Minogue reveal how his relationship with Hutchence was "doomed to failure," while model and former girlfriend Helena Christensen explains in detail how the singer suffered a brain injury in 1992 after being assaulted by a taxi driver and how he became "dark and very angry" losing his sense of smell as a result of his injuries.
It had already been confirmed that the new documentary would be broadcast on BBC – the husband of Jan Young, director of BBC Music, commented: "Michael Hutchence was one of the most influential and charismatic rock stars in the world. Modern era, and I am delighted that the documentary will be broadcast on BBC2. "No transmission date is currently scheduled for the film.
The soundtrack of the movie "Mystify – A musical journey with Michael Hutchence" will be released on July 5, 2019.
