ST. LOUIS – A newly married prison guard in Illinois was charged with assault after his wife recorded a fight that resulted in her dead discovery at the bottom of a garage near St. Louis Stadium where play the cardinals.
Bradley Jenkins, 30, of Taylorville, Illinois, was charged on Monday with third-degree assault. After his wife, 27-year-old Allissa Martin, was found dead over the weekend, the police found her cell phone on the seventh floor of the garage, her camera still recording.
The charge documents indicate that Martin, also a prison guard, can be heard on the record by shouting at Jenkins to stop hitting his face. She dropped the phone and could be heard screaming as she falls.
The couple had been married for less than two weeks. No attorney is listed for Jenkins in the online court records.
