Joseph Allen auditioned for "America's Got Talent" to see what footprint he can leave on the world. His audition ended with Howie Mandel leaving a literal imprint on the golden vibrator.
This 21-year-old student seduced judges and the public with his positive energy and sincere enthusiasm. He was applauded even before starting his act.
When Simon Cowell asked why Allen had decided to audition, he replied, "I see myself as a person who can have a major impact on the world and I want to know what footprint I can leave on Earth before leaving."

Allen's performance of an original song was the icing on the cake. He started crying while singing his last sentence: "After today, the world will know my name," emotionally falling to his knees as the crowd lamented in a standing ovation – judges included.
"Dreams come true on this stage and I think we see your dream come true" new judge Gabrielle Union said. Newcomer Julianne Hough wiped her tears.
"You have incredible energy, I have to tell you," Cowell said. "And I love your voice and you have a good tone.First impressions are for me everything … I liked it."

Mandel complimented Allen's smile as he began to climb on the judges' table. "You said you would leave a footprint, well, I will give you the footprint you need," said the veteran judge before hitting on the golden vibrator.
Before going on stage, Allen had an agreement with host Terry Crews. "If I get the gold ring, you have to come get me," Allen suggested.
The teams accepted and kept their word, lifting Allen over his shoulders as golden confetti flooded the stage. "I have to tell you man, you're heavy," joked Crews.

Allen described the moment as "something I've been dreaming about for a long time," adding that the real moment was "not like anything I'd ever imagined before."
He singled out his stepfamily among the public, including his biological parents and his in-laws. "I just want to thank all the guys, you raised a dreamer," Allen said.
