Jennifer Aniston revealed how Brad Pitt's cheating had left her "alone" – and what had saved her from the lowest moment of her life.
Prior to their split in 2005, American actress Friends and Hollywood star Brad were stars of the world of celebrities, their wedding being presented as an illuminating beacon on how to balance celebrity with a private life.
It was until Brad met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and the fate of the three parties was suddenly changed.
Following Brad's betrayal and confirmation of their split, Jennifer is entrusted to Vanity Fair about her loneliness and the way she was dragged to a place more conducive to impending divorce.
In the 2005 interview, Jennifer revealed, "Am I alone? Yes, Am I upset? Yes, Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my days when I organized a little party? pity for myself, absolutely, but I'm very good too. "
Jennifer continued, "I have an amazing support team, and I am a tough cookie, I believe in therapy, which I think is an incredible tool to educate oneself."
The actress admitted that she had "retired into her cocoon" and that she "felt like nesting" while she was protecting herself from the world.
Jennifer said, "I am a partnership person and if something happens, you have to instinctively share it – but you are no longer part of a couple, I really miss it.
"It's a little Bambi, you're trying to learn to walk, you're a little embarrassed, you're stumbling a bit, and what you would do with your partner you will not do.
"It's an unknown land, but I think it's good for me to be a single person at the moment, you have to rediscover yourself and move to another level."
Jennifer praised her circle of friendship for preventing her from sinking.
She said: "My friends that I have for 20 years. When things happen, the tribe gathers and raises you up."
One of the most difficult moments of the split was how Brad and Angelina became public with their relationship, with images flooding the newspapers at that time.
Jennifer admitted, "I would be a robot if I said that I do not feel moments of anger, pain or embarrassment."
Brad and Jennifer officially divorced on October 2, 2005.
