A North Texas school board voted the dismissal of an English teacher who had tweeted that her high school was full of students who were illegally in the country.

The Fort Worth Independent School District Council voted 8-0 at a special meeting Tuesday night to end the engagement of Georgia Clark, a teacher at Carter Riverside High School. She has two weeks to appeal to the state. She remains employed with pay in the meantime.

His lawyer was not immediately available for comment.

Clark had told a district investigator that she had only spoken of President Donald Trump's tweet and had not realized that her Twitter posts were public.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the board voted to dismiss her once before – in 2013 – for her language and behavior toward students, but a group of teachers stepped in and helped resolve the situation.
