"The President of the Fort Worth Independent School District is filled with illegitimate students from Mexico," Clark was quoted as saying last month from a now-deleted Twitter account. "All you can do to eliminating the illegals from Fort Worth would be greatly appreciated. "

"Texas will not protect whistleblowers. Mexicans refuse to honor our flag, "Clark wrote in another message. One of the tweets included his phone number.

The tweets caused an uproar in his school, which is 1/3 Hispanic, according to the Washington Post. Eight members of the school council voted unanimously Tuesday to end Clark's contract. She has two weeks to appeal to the state and remains on paid leave in the meantime.

According to a Fort Worth ISD review obtained by The Post, Clark acknowledged that the tweets were his. The review also indicated that the school district was already investigating Clark for separate allegations that she made comments about the student's ethnicity or immigration status.

Post and local newspapers reported contacting the lawyer who did not immediately respond.

Associated Press contributed to this report.
