The E3 2019 may be close, but for Pokemon fans, the most exciting news arrives in a few minutes. Nintendo will be releasing a Pokemon Direct special today, June 5th. Unlike the wider E3 Direct set planned for next week, which will feature several Switch games proposed in 2019, Wednesday's presentation will focus exclusively on highly anticipated Pokemon Sword and Shield, which will be released for Switch later this year. What time does the Pokemon live stream begin?
American fans will have to wake up earlier to be able to watch Wednesday's Pokemon live, as the show will begin at 1:00 pm. 6am / 9am. This is explained by 14h local time UK. Those of Australia, meanwhile, will have to stay in place until AEST OF 23H watch the presentation.

What to expect
All that Nintendo has said about Pokemon Direct is that it will feature "about 15 minutes of new information on Pokemon Sword and Shield". What this implies is at this stage difficult to guess, but since this will be the first time we will have new details about the games since their unveiling in February, there will probably be a lot to deepen. One thing we can rely on safely, however, is the new Pokemon. Each new generation of games introduces a variety of new monsters to catch and raise. Until now, we have only seen the three new players available from which to choose. Nintendo will probably reveal at least some other monsters of the generation 8 during the Direct.
We will probably learn more about the casting and the framework of the games. Nintendo has already confirmed that Sword and Shield will take place in a brand new area called Galar, and we've had a quick look at some places that players can explore, but we do not know anything about games yet. story. Nintendo will likely use this presentation to introduce the characters that players will encounter during their trip, such as your new rival (or your rivals) and the teacher who will give you your first Pokémon. Another thing we can expect is a new gameplay mechanism. Until now, almost all titles in the series have introduced a new feature to keep a cool game, such as Mega Evolution in Pokemon X and Y and Z-move in Sun and Moon, and this trend will likely continue with Sword and Shield. We do not yet know what form this mechanism will take, but since the latter is likely to play a vital role in the adventure, we will probably see the first glimpse this week.
