Destiny 2 arrives at Google's stadiums and switches to cross-save

You will soon be able to transfer your Destiny 2 progression between multiple platforms: Xbox, PC and the Google Stadia streaming service, on which the famous loot game will be launched this fall. PlayStation 4 stays in the air.

For the moment, switch from the console to the computer to Destiny 2 means starting from scratch because there is no way to transfer your characters or your progress. But this morning, data miners discovered an image with "cross-save" on, raising fans' hopes that Bungie's online shooter will allow players to move characters on all platforms soon. That's right, and it will be announced tomorrow at a Bungie livestream at 1 pm ET.

We heard all this from four people aware of Bungie's projects. Two of them confirmed that Bungie would announce a cross-save tomorrow during his tour. Destiny 2 direct. These two people also said that the company was not yet sure whether the PS4 would be part of it. (Sony did not immediately respond to a request for comment.)

Google Stadia will certainly be part of it. What we heard from five sources, a combination of trendy informants and developers, is that Destiny 2 will be one of the great games available on Google's new streaming platform. (We are also waiting Ghost Recon Breakpoint and some other big games to announce for Stadia.)

If Stadia works as promised, players will be able to load a Google Chrome browser and get started. Destiny 2 on any computer or device that supports the service. We do not know yet how much Stadia's services will cost, but we'll see it tomorrow. (What I've heard suggests a combination of subscription and a la carte prices.)

Google will hold a press conference to detail Stadia's matches and other details tomorrow at 12:00 (ET), while Bungie will hold a livestream to talk about the future of Destiny 2 one hour later. We can expect to see this detailed news at both conferences. We can also expect Bungie's developers to decide on their future. Destiny 2, which includes the latest recently disclosed Shadow guard expansion.
