Metallica represent! One thing we have seen from the Bay Area bands is that they are there for the sports teams in their home town. Tonight (June 5), it meant that Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield managed to thrill the national anthem before the third match of the NBA finals between the Toronto Raptors and the local Golden State Warriors team.
The two musicians paraded in the field wearing "Strength in Numbers" black t-shirts, part of Warriors' motto for the season. Hammett is responsible for most of the heavy tasks, with Hetfield on hand to add depth to the heaviness of instrumental interpretation.
Fans of the San Francisco Bay Area have become familiar with the interpretation of the "Star Spangled Banner" by the two members of Metallica, who has long played with the San Francisco Giants basketball group at the time. "Metallica Night". Metallica also enjoyed a themed party with the nearby San Jose Sharks hockey team, and gave a great concert during the Super Bowl week a few years ago, at the Super Bowl held in the Bay Area. They also did the honors for the warriors in the past. You can watch their version of the festivities of Game 3 below.
Metallica will give a concert at Slane Castle in Ireland. The place is known for organizing a concert a year and being a major artist. The show will take place on June 8 in Meath, Ireland, and the band will then continue their European tour. See all their dates here.
