Country music paid tribute to his talented women at the CMT Music Awards 2019.
At an evening that featured the largest number of performances in the history of the awards ceremony, no one was as big as one where many influential women of the genre came together. on stage for a big medley of Tanya Tucker's hit, "Delta Dawn", which she released at age 13.

Brandi Carlile, Trisha Yearwood, Raelynn, Martina McBride, Lauren Alaina, Carly Pearce and Deana Carter, accompanied by Shooter Jennings scraping the guitar, joined Tucker to sing the 1972 country song.

The country's fans quickly turned to social media to express their gratitude for Tucker, 60, and for the list of hymns accompanying the singer, nominated ten times in the Grammy Awards.

"If Tanya Tucker sings Delta Dawn do not get upset, I do not know what's going on …" wrote a Twitter user, while many others echoed similar sentiments.
"Some of the country music women joining Tanya Tucker during the Delta Dawn performance are one of my favorite performances of the night so far," said another user, while she remembered old memories of having seen Tucker play at 14 years old.
"I saw @tanya_tucker sing Delta Dawn in concert in Tifton, Georgia, when the single was released for the first time at ABAC Middle School. She was 14 years old. She still has it. #CMTawards What a powerful performance! "
Other performances at CMT Music Awards 2019 included; Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band, with collaborative performances by Brett Young and Boyz II Men; Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town and Trombone Shorty; and Sheryl Crow and Maren Morris.
