I have a strange relationship with the Legend of Zelda series. My first game in the franchise was Wind Waker HD (yes, I was late at the party, leave me alone). I did not like – it's quite slow, is not it?

Later, despite some hesitation on my part after Wind Waker did not really work, I tried A Link Between Worlds. I loved it – it's amazing, is not it?

Encouraged by my unexpected love for ALBW, I immediately bought Breath of the Wild after receiving a Switch, and again, despite universal praise from critics, I did not like it. I found it without direction – I did not know what to do, where to go, what weapons to use and why some armor was better than others.

I thought I was the problem. Maybe I'm just weird, I thought.Maybe I do not like 3D Zelda games? I should try another 2D. Argh, they are all old and, as we all know, all the old games are Bad ™.

Do not be afraid, dear reader, because I persevered. After bouncing back at the first request, I went back twice to Breath of the Wild, and on the third attempt, the click was finally given. I had suddenly a decent equipment and some hearts and I could explore without fear of being immediately killed. I realized that getting lost was a bit of a goal and no matter where I went. I'm not weird! I thought about it. I like Zelda!

Fast forward to 2019 and I can not wait for Link's Awakening. I am a full Zelda convert and I am hungry for more. A critically acclaimed game, remastered for the modern era on the most practical and charming console of all time, all in this wonderful 2D drawn artistic style? Sign me up hell. – Oscar Dayus
