According to David Gibson, a former Blizzard developer, who left the company earlier in the week, a project he had been working on for two years was canceled. Although Gibson did not provide details, he sent some tweets that said his game was "on the back burner a little over the last 6 months" before being canceled. "Unfortunately, you will never see what we have done in the last 2 years – it's gamedev, but we will still have Overwatch," he wrote.
Well, today is my last day at Blizzard. Unfortunately, you will never see what we have done in the last two years – it's a game, but we will always have Overwatch. 🙂
I have 6 weeks off (I need it) until my next gig starts, info soon.

To be fair, Blizzard said in the past that only about half of their games were coming out of the early stages of production. Allen Adham told Game Informer: "The truth is that behind the curtain, it's a horror show." Most people outside of Blizzard do not realize that about half of our titles do not see the light of day. "
Blizzard President J. Allen Brack said the company was working on "more games than ever before," including at least two projects related to Overwatch.
