At least 20 cadets injured in accident at the west

At least 20 cadets were injured in a personnel accident at West Point this morning, according to News 12 sources.

Officials from the US Military Academy confirm what they call a "training accident" on a road outside the West Point campus.

According to sources, News 12 reportedly had an accident involving personnel transport around 7:00 am today on Route 293 and Natural Bridge Road, near Camp Natural Bridge. The camp is used in summer as a cadet training site.

The academy did not disclose details about the severity of the accident or whether anyone was injured.

The US military academy tweeted, "There was an accident in the vicinity of the Camp Natural Bridge training site, emergency vehicles react, please avoid Route 293. More information will follow."
