The CEO of Take-Two declares that there is no disadvantage in publishing Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC

Rumor has it that Red Dead Redemption 2 will soon be available on PC. Nothing is confirmed at this point. The developer Rockstar Games has made no announcement, nor does its parent company Take-Two. Despite this, the evidence continues to prove that the famous western disc was released on PC.

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, responded to the claim that the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC would be a "hoax". It's a basketball metaphor for something very easy to do.

Zelnick replied succinctly: "There is no problem in publishing the game on PC."

That's all he had to say on the subject. His answer is interesting and remarkable, however. Zelnick is regularly asked if he wants to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC, and until now, he had publicly responded that he would let Rockstar speak for himself. Zelnick does not confirm anything with his new statement, but it is a noticeable change in form for the executive.

In view of the Rockstar story, it seems likely that Red Dead Redemption 2 will eventually be released on PC. The previous version of Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto V, arrived on PC in April 2015, five months after the release of GTA V on PS4 and Xbox One and 18 months after the initial launch of GTA V on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013 .

For Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar and Sony have signed an exclusive contract for certain content, but it is unclear whether this will have an impact on the launch of the game on other platforms, such as PC. For what it's worth, the original 2010 Red Dead Redemption never arrived on PC.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been sold to over 24 million copies, making it one of the most commercially successful games in history. The launch on PC would only increase the number of sales, which Zelnick probably refers to when he says "there is no disadvantage" to the game being put on PC.

The online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online, recently left the beta with a huge update. Rockstar continues to support online mode and many other content is coming soon.

Rockstar is not advertised as a participant in E3 2019, but Take-Two will be at the show where it will become popular thanks to the fabulous Borderlands 3 from Gearbox Software.
