The Galaxy Note 10 is not expected to hit the market before the month of August, but we already have a quick overview of the design thanks to OnLeaks. These are not official renderings, but instead images are created by OnLeaks from CAD files. Previously, OnLeaks produced in advance renderings of the Galaxy S9, OnePlus 7 Pro and many other phones, all of which proved very accurate.
It seems that this year's Galaxy Note version takes a very rectangular approach to phone design. There is first the screen, which has sharper angles than previous versions, which used rounded display angles. The lower and upper edges of the phone appear almost completely flat, while the longer sides tilt around the phone, making it easier to grip. It looks like an old Nokia Lumia phone.
The Galaxy S10 debuted with Samsung's punch-type screen, which, rather than a notch, allows you to punch a hole in the screen (with lasers!) Leaving you a place for the camera. On the Galaxy S10, this hole was in the upper right corner; on the Galaxy Note 10, it's apparently a dead center. The Galaxy S10 + had two front cameras, but here there is only one.
Google's Android rules require that all display quirks (such as a notch or this camera hole) be fully surrounded by the status bar, giving applications a normal rectangular area to work in. This design does not seem to solve the biggest problem with the S10 design, which is that the camera is placed so low in the display, that the status bar will have to be larger than normal. Devices such as the OnePlus 6T (from 2018!) Have opted for the best approach, namely a camera screen small enough to fit in a normal bar area. Although the Galaxy Note 10's screen is large, apps will not be allowed to use anything next to or above this camera hole.
The design of the rear changes a lot compared to the Galaxy S10 and Note 9, which housed the rear cameras of large horizontal stripes. This rendering Note 10 shows a vertical camera strip on the left side of the phone, with three adjacent holes for sensors, LED flash and a time-of-flight camera for 3D detection. The entire configuration of the camera is aligned with the glass body of the phone.
On the bottom edge of the phone you see a USB-C port, the S-Pen required, a speaker and no headphone jack. These renderings are consistent with the previous rumor about Galaxy Note 10 released by Android Police: Samsung gives up the headphone jack. This rumor also claimed that the note 10 would escape the physical buttons in favor of touch buttons. This rendering presents clashes of buttons, but it is not enough to click or to touch points.
Just like previous rumors, this report claims that the Galaxy Note 10 would be available in two sizes, the new detail being that the biggest model is called the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro". This large model would have a 6.75-inch screen – a considerable increase over the Galaxy S10 +'s 6.4-inch screen -, while the smaller model has a 6-inch screen, 3 inches and lacks the Pro's depth camera.
