The former president and CEO of NASCAR, Brian France, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated in exchange for a reduced sentence on Friday.
After 100 hours of community service, France will release the crime DWI non-criminal offense in June next year, provided that it does not get into trouble and attend consultations.
"Even though I made a mistake, this event also gave me the opportunity to reflect on my lack of judgment that day, my family and my increased responsibilities to our community. I've learned valuable lessons and I'll be a better person through this process, "France said in a statement, according to USA Today.

France was arrested in Sag Harbor, in northern England, in August 2018, after crossing a stop sign. His blood alcohol level would be twice the legal limit and oxycodone tablets in his possession, for which he had a prescription.
France took a leave of absence from NASCAR following her arrest and was definitively replaced in both roles by her uncle Jim France earlier this year.
