Apple has upgraded CarPlay to iOS 12 with support for third-party navigation applications, including Google Maps and Waze, allowing drivers to use alternatives to Apple Maps for the first time. Design

The left half of the dashboard shows your location on a map, the current navigation, or a preview of your route. The right side of Dashboard is even more dynamic and provides quick access to upcoming calendar events, including addresses, route suggestions, including playback controls for audio applications, and Siri suggestions, including HomeKit actions such as opening your garage on your return.
The dashboard is more aesthetically pleasing on widescreen displays, but the all-new feature is ideal for standard displays that also work with CarPlay – wireless or wireless, depending on your receiver. New applications and modes
CarPlay in iOS 13 also introduces two new integrated applications: Settings and Calendar.

You can keep CarPlay in dark mode all the time or, optionally, switch between the light and dark modes automatically. Siri
