ST. PETERSBURG, Florida – For the second time in the 2019 season, a power outage at Tropicana Field has interrupted a Tampa Bay Rays game.

The lights went out during the fourth round of the opening game of the Rays series against the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday night.

The Rays (41-26) followed the Angels (33-35) 3-0 when power was cut and delayed the game by more than 30 minutes before resuming.

Rays radio presenter Andy Freed shared a video of the blackout on Twitter.

The Major League Baseball did not specify how power was released at the stadium.

A power outage interrupted a Rays game on May 12 when the New York Yankees were in town. The breakdown delayed the match by almost 45 minutes.
