Destiny 2: Shadowkeep details: release date, raid, exotic, weapons, etc.

[ad_1]

destiny 2: Keep shadows is Bungie's first major expansion as an independent studio. This will bring the players back to the Moon and reintroduce a little depth in the composition of the players. Bungie will not let go Shadow guard until September 17, three months from now, but we already know a lot about the expansion.

Here is everything we have learned so far.

The "new" location

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep - a bunker

A familiar monument to the Moon, the sanctuary of the Oryx, returns in Destiny 2: Guarding shadows.
Bungie

The biggest addition to Destiny 2 in Shadow guard is the moon of the Earth. The Moon was an important place in Destiny 1, and was home for the second raid of the game: Crota's End.

Unlike the time the Guardians returned to Mars in a new location last year with Warmind, Shadow guard will bring players back to the Moon they know. Players can explore the same areas, although Bungie indicates that the landscape has evolved through Hive Meddling.

in the Shadow guard reveal the flow, Bungie developers have claimed the Destiny 2 the version is twice the size of the original moon. the Destiny 2 The images in the press kit show some key places in the Destiny 1 MOon as the sanctuary of Oryx (photo above).

The last time the players went to the Moon, it gave birth to the most famous meme of the series: this wizard came from the Moon. There is no doubt that Bungie will wink at the famous line Shadow guard, as they did after the original destinyGhost gets a makeover with Nolan North.

Remains of old enemies

The history of Shadow guard seems to center around a mysterious force waking up on the moon. Eris Morn – the hunter who helped the players defeat Crota and Oryx in Destiny 1 – seems to be at fault.

Whatever this new force – probably a precursor to the enemies of Darkness – it resurrects old enemies of Destiny 1 and Destiny 2.

the Shadow guard reveal the trailer features Eris' narration and teases the ghost versions of Crota, Dominus Ghaul, Omnigul, Skolas, Phogoth and Zydron or Athon. Here's a quick reminder about who these enemies are and when the players killed them:

Crota: Son of Oryx, the king taken, Crota was the second raid leader in Destiny 1. The players fought it on the Moon, and it's the most prominent resurrected villain of the Shadow guard trailers. The players killed him during the Crota's End raid.

Dominus Ghaul: The final boss of Destiny 2, Ghaul stole Guardian's light and tried to convince the traveler to choose him as guardian. He inadvertently woke the traveler from his long sleep. The players killed him at the end of Destiny 2The campaign of the red war.

Omnigul: Crota's will, Omnigul was a leader of a strike in Destiny 1. She is also the mistress of Crota. The players killed him in Crota Strike's will.

Skolas: The Kell of Kells, Skolas attempted to reunite the deceased under one roof. He was the main antagonist of wolf house expansion of Destiny 1. The players killed him in the "Skolas Revenge" challenge in the Prison of Elders.

Phogoth: Phogoth was a chained ogre in which the players fought at the bottom of the Moon's Hell. destiny. The players released him and killed him in The Summoning Pits Strike.

Zydron: Zydron was the lord of the Vex gate that Mara Sov sends the killing players Destiny 1. The guards kill him as part of the "Door Eye" mission. Zydron's eye – or similar object – is the Artifact of the players of Destiny 2: Guarding shadows. This suggests that the Vex in the trailer is probably Zydron and not Atheon.

Atheist: Atheon is Time's Conflux, and oversaw the Vault of Glass in Destiny 1. The players killed him during the first Destiny raid, the Vault of Glass.

We do not know how or why any of these bosses are back, or if they give up one of their signature loot at the time of their death. In the ViDoc "Out of the Shadows", players can watch goalkeepers face Crota and Skolas.

A new Black Garden raid

The last mission of destinyThe campaign took place in another world called Black Garden. The Black Garden is a Vex world and does not respect the normal rules of space and time.

We do not know what the Guardians will do in the Black Garden, but it seems likely that the Taken Vex Mind Quria is the last boss. Quira is currently working for Oryx's sister, Savathun, and would integrate well with the hive theme for the rest of the world. Shadow guard. Quira is also responsible for the three-week time loop in the City of Dreams.

A new dungeon

The broken throne is Destiny's first activity that Bungie called a dungeon. It's a miniature three-player raid. The Broken Throne has three different encounters – a puzzle arena and two heads – some hidden secrets and platform challenges.

In the product page for Shadow guardBungie promises another dungeon in the expansion. We do not know anything about the dungeon of Shadow guard. Some players think that this could happen in the Scarlet Fortress, as indicated in the marketing material of Shadow guard. But we know almost nothing about the Scarlet Fortress at that time, so dungeon speculation is almost entirely based on the fact that it is mysterious.

Exotic news and back

Destiny 2 - a hunter, a warlock and a titan on the moon

The studio has seen three exotics in progress in the ViDoc "Out of the Shadows".

Bungie showed the first heavy bow of the game. He takes power ammo and seems to come up with a giant shock effect.

There is also a Vex Exotic Tracer Rifle. This gun creates a great point of criticism anywhere on the enemy for the allies to shoot.

The third exotic is a handgun that uses special ammunition instead of energy or kinetics. Bungie called it a pocket sniper rifle. The developers also mentioned that it could ignite players if they used it too much, but it was still in development.

The first exotic players back in the trailer are Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is a favorite automatic rifle for fans Destiny 1. He came up with an advantage called the Monte Carlo method, which decreased the cooldown of melee abilities when you deal damage. Each hit with Monte Carlo had a chance to instantly restore melee ability. This weapon is very clearly shown in the ViDoc.

The second exotic return is Khvostov 7G-0X. Khvostov is the first weapon that the Guardians have ever recovered in the original. destiny. In Destiny: the rise of iron, players could rebuild it as an exotic. There were no exotic benefits, but it was customizable. Players can change range, fire mode (auto, semi, burst), statistic modifiers, and rate of fire.

There are some seconds of ViDoc that look like Khvostov, but we're not sure he's back. But with the return of the Cosmodrome's first mission for New Light this fall, Khvostov's return seems likely.

Bungie also showed the distinct handle of the No Time to Explain rifle. The Guardians received a legendary version of this rifle called the Stranger's Rifle for beating the Destiny 1 campaign, and he came back as an exotic The king caught. Headkeeker was his exotic advantage, and body shots would increase precision damage for a short time. Precision hits would also instantly return to the magazine.

It is likely that Bungie has hidden more new exotic objects in the ViDoc that players will discover later.

Armor 2.0

Bungie's goal for Destiny to advance is depth. What the studio calls Armor 2.0 should include new versions of players Destiny 2 with Shadow guard. Players will customize their armor with significant benefits, instead of having to choose between quality and aesthetics.

The images that Bungie used in the trailer show a kind of energy system. It seems that players can insert different benefits into their armor. But each benefit costs a certain amount of energy.

The Noble Constant Type 2 helmet presented above has a capacity of eight energies. A mod is already inserted in the helmet, and it seems to take five energies, leaving the room with three energies remaining. It is not clear if players can increase the energy capacity of armor pieces.

The 1st year armor was left behind when the random roll and mod functions came to Destiny 2 in Abandoned. But the ViDoc Out of the Shadows shows guards in several first-year armor sets, such as the escalation protocol defined in Warmind. It seems that the update of Armor 2.0 concerns some older armor pieces. Destiny 2, not just an armor published in Shadow guard and beyond. It is currently unknown whether Destiny 2 The armor is compatible 2.0, or if Bungie chooses certain sets to bring back in third year.

Noble Constant Type 2 armor also contains Discipline, Intelligence and Strength statistics. These are old Destiny 1 statistics that reduce the recovery time of grenades, supers and melee abilities, respectively. Players can see these stats in other pictures of the character sheet.

Enhanced PvP

In the ViDoc Out of the Shadows, Bungie promised to focus again on PvP with Destiny 2: Guarding shadows. The studio showed the gameplay of the old Elimination game mode, as well as the fan favorite Destiny 1 cards like Widow's Walk.

It's unclear how they plan to change the Crucible – the name of the series for the competitive multiplayer mode – in Destiny 2: Guarding shadows, but the studio said it was trying to jostle playlists and surprise readers.

During the revelation flow for Destiny 2: Guarding shadowsBungie would definitely answer no question about the return of the hyper-competitive modes of Essays of the Nine or Essays of Osiris. Creative Director Luke Smith said Bungie wanted to rebuild PvP before committing to returning anything similar to the Essays.

Artifacts

Bungie via Relentless-Hunter on Reddit

The artifacts come back to Destiny 2 after Bungie introduced them into The king caught and left them at the end of the original destiny. This time, the functionality is completely different.

Each season, players will receive a new artifact to improve – the benefits will only last until the end of the season. In the ViDoc, Bungie displays a list of benefits that lead to a final tree that players can choose. According to the developers, the end benefits are almost exotic in their quality. It's unclear how players will upgrade the artifacts or what kind of benefits they will offer.

The artifact for Shadow guard and the season of the eternal is the eye of the lord of the gates. It's probably the same eye that the players took from Zydron to Destiny 1.

Moves Finish

One of the most mysterious systems to come Shadow guard are finishing movements. These are sophisticated attacks that guards can commit when an enemy is about to die. Players enter a canned animation such as a hunter spinning in the air with knives or a Superman Titan hitting an enemy.

Bungie added a system like this to Halo: Reach. Players could hold the melee button behind an enemy and assassinate him by means of a long animation. 343 Industries continues the show in Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians.

Bungie did not explain in detail how it will work or how players can win them. It is likely that players will be able to buy new animations via Destiny 2The cosmetics store at stake, the Eververse.

To learn more about everything in the ViDoc "Out of the Shadows", check out the Relentless-Hunter post in the Destiny subdirectory.

Bungie will reveal more information about Shadow guard and its features later this summer, before it's released on September 17th. We will update this post with major additions.
