Police Respond to Explosion at Plantation Fitness Center, Florida

Police and firefighters responded Saturday to a serious explosion at a Strip Strip mall in Plantation, South Florida, authorities said.

Plantation Fire Rescue confirmed on Twitter that there were "several patients" in the incident.

Press images and a social media video showing firefighters arriving at the mall, where part of the complex appeared to be severely damaged, with broken windows and small piles of debris.

CNN affiliate, WPLG, announced that the blast had occurred at The Fountains Mall, Plantation, near Fort Lauderdale.
