Eddie Money has canceled the dates of his summer tour after the rocker developed pneumonia following his recent heart valve surgery.
TMZ announced Friday that Money, who was planning a summer tour with Rick Springfield, would be recovering for the rest of the year after his operation. a representative later said Money hoped to return to the scene later this year.
Prior to his 28th consecutive Memorial Day weekend in Detroit, the singer complained of shortness of breath; Doctors recommended him to undergo a heart valve procedure, but Money delayed the operation to be able to perform at the Detroit show.
"The money should be back on the road in mid-June," its website announced after the announcement of heart surgery. However, the singer was hit with pneumonia as a result of the procedure.
