Watch how the Toyota Supra 2020 compares to its BMW Z4 in a race for high-speed drag racing

Surprisingly, the Supra is immediately away from his German counterpart, finishing his quarter-mile run in just 12 seconds flat; the BMW took half a second longer to cross the finish line. That said, the Supra also took the lead in a rolling race, playing her carefully hidden muscles to win.

It seems that the Supra produces a little more power than Toyota. In fact, just last month, another series of YouTubers propelled the Toyota Supra to European standards at the test bench where it achieved a respectable 376 horsepower at the rear wheels. In the video above, the host suggests that the Supra has a power of about 380 horsepower, a figure close enough to the numbers of the dyno and 382 horses cited by BMW for its Z4 M40i, specified in the United States. A more interesting speed contest might be to place the Supra next to the North American Z4 exit.

But for now, the Supra imposes itself as the best of both, or at least faster in a straight line.
