The Zion Williamson Show takes a summer break
The number one choice of pelicans in this year's NBA draft will be missing from the rest of the NBA Summer League after suffering a knee injury Friday against the Knicks.
"Sion will eliminate this incident without problems," said David Griffin, senior vice president of basketball operations for the Pelicans, in a statement. "However, out of caution, we decided that he would not be in the game for the rest of the NBA Summer League. He will continue to participate in training and fitness with our performance team. "
Williamson had 11 points and three rebounds in nine minutes of action against the Knicks. He went out before the second half and the game was stopped because of an earthquake.
