The weather in New Jersey hit Saturday with strong winds and a possible tornado in Mount Laurel, Burlington County, authorities said.
A video of what appeared to be a funnel cloud writhing in a gray sky near Interstate 295, Exit 36 and Turnpike, Exit 4 around 2:10 pm. was posted on social media by firefighters in the township.
We received several reports and videos on a possible bored tornado at Mount Laurel, near Exit 36 of I-295 and Exit 4 of NJ Turnpike around 2:10 pm. We are sending a team to investigate the damage and we will have a preliminary report tonight. #NJwx

Mount Laurel police said the car rolled to the side and some air conditioners were blown on the rooftops near Gaither Drive block 100. The surveillance footage released by NBC Philadelphia showed a parked black sedan thrown into the air in heavy rain.

The National Meteorological Service issued a tornado alert shortly before 4 pm for parts of Burlington, Camden, Gloucester counties. Hunterdon County had weather warnings before 4 pm like continuous lines of storms have rolled through the state.
The National Weather Service wrote on Twitter that it was investigating a "possible tornado spilling out of the earth" and that it would prepare a "preliminary report" by the evening.
