At least twenty-one people were injured Saturday in a gas explosion at a Plantation, Florida shopping center.

The blast hit several storefronts, killing 21 people, two of them seriously, according to Plantation Fire Rescue spokeswoman Joel Gordon.

From 1:30 pm press conference, no deaths have been reported.

"At this point, no one has been killed. Thank goodness for that. As serious as it may be, the situation could have been much worse, "said Gordon.

The vacant pizzeria where the explosion occurred was completely destroyed and a LA Fitness fitness equipment located nearby was heavily damaged by the explosion, debris and glass filling the nearby car park.

The Plantation Fire Department, Davie, Lauderhill, Coral Springs, as well as the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Service were all called to the scene.

According to a WPLG video, a person covered in blood was seen dating other people outside the fitness center.
