The tributes paid tribute to Cameron Boyce, who played in the series "Jessie", which lasted four seasons from 2011 to 2015, as well as in movies, including "Descendants" of 2015.
The young actor is the product of a diverse heritage, including his Jewish mother Libby Boyce, his African-American father and a grandmother who became one of the symbols of the movement of the civil rights.
Jo Ann Allen Boyce was a member of Clinton 12, a group of black students who made history after the 1954 United States Supreme Court decision in Brown v. In what was apparently his last interview, Cameron Boyce told Haute Living that his family, especially his grandmother, helped shape it.
"Being Afro-American and Jewish, I have many ancestors and family members whom I can count on to have strength and, more importantly, a grateful vision of life," he said. he declared. "Each of them has scratched and scraped so that my sister and I are in the position we are in today."
