Burger King released Tuesday's $ 1 crunchy tacos.
Burger King? Tacos? There were stranger things in fast food, but not much.
As one would expect, BK's tacos are not exactly conventional. Ground beef and grated cheese are incorporated in a tortilla, which is then fried and garnished with lettuce pieces. This method of preparation seems less than taco-like.
We were skeptical.
The last time Burger King offered a taco, it was in 2010, almost a decade ago, according to a page on nutrition recorded by Internet Archive and noted by Thrillist.
We decided to go to Burger King in the financial district of New York to see what these crisp creatures were.
