Spoilers coming for Strange things 3
The third season of Netflix Strange things brought back some familiar monstrous faces, while the Mind-Flayer, Boogeyman's resident of Upside-Down, returned to own the inhabitants of Hawkins, Indiana. The show remains a delight – Collider's Adam Chitwood has called this season even better – but after three years, all these strange things do not seem to be becoming this a lot of stranger.
That could change with a hypothetical fourth season, say the audience Ross and Matt Duffer. Addressing EW, the creators of the series indicated that they planned the main features of each chapter well in advance and that the plans they were preparing had a "very different" appearance. "We do not want to write in a corner, so we try to have these first discussions with the editors just to make sure that we are getting ready to go in the right direction," says Ross Duffer. "We do not know much, but we know a lot of great things. At the end of season two, we knew Billy. We knew that the Russians would enter. We did not know the mall, but again, we know these great traits. It's a bit where we are in season four. We have large broad strokes. We have just completed these lines in the details. We are very excited about the direction this might take. Once again, as we have said, the feeling will be very different from this season. But I think it's the right thing to do and it will be exciting. "
Matt Duffer added that a fourth season "would open a bit", not only in terms of large-scale special effects and board pieces, but also by "allowing portals in areas outside Hawkins ".
A character or science fiction portals? Hard to say. Also, technically, it's hard to say if this plan will ever materialize, because Netflix has not officially formalized a fourth season of Strange things still quite. The figures claimed by the streaming service Strange things 3 are astronomical, but the most secret numbers of Netflix must be taken with several grains of salt; they will never tell you when a show ends, but they will inform you when a show will be broadcast in eleven thousand billion people, plus a couple on the moon.

"It's certain that season three ends with several pieces of the plot that are separated from each other," said Levy. "And if there was going to be a season 4, I think we'll see them all explored."
