The Philadelphia police released a surveillance video showing a large group of young people rushing into a Walgreens store and causing thousands of dollars worth of damage last week.
Investigators say that the incident in South Philadelphia occurred around 10 pm. Thursday and involved a large group of men and women who "look like teenagers."
The group "stormed the Walgreens store" and "ran to knock things off the shelves," police said. The video shows three men crossing an alley and taking out the makeup of the store shelves. Another camera angle captured a larger group dropping other objects.

"Some members of the group threw goods at the store's employees, causing injuries," police said.
The police video showed a boy grabbing items from shelves near the checkout counter and throwing them at the employees.
We can see some people in the group filming the incident on their mobile phone. The group is also seen running out of the store with items in hand, including soft drinks and snacks.
At least one person in the group covered his face as he walked in and out of the store.

A cashier was hit in the head with a glass bottle while he was trying to intervene, WPVI reported.
"About 60 minors entered the establishment and started removing objects from the shelves, thus destroying goods inside the store," Sekou Kinebrew, police captain, told reporters. from Philadelphia. "The cashier tried to intervene and a heavy object – was thrown at him, hitting him in the head."
Kinebrew added that the value of the stolen merchandise and damage to the store ranged from $ 6,000 to $ 7,000.
The injured clerk was treated and released with cuts and bruises to the head, reported the station.
