A source told Star Journal that Revelle had not been on the road to recruiting in recent weeks, including last week's Colorado Sparkler Club tournament, which attracts thousands of rookies and coaches Division I from across the country. Revelle's 997 career ranks 12th among all active Division I coaches and is only one of 30 Division I coaches to have won 900 career victories.
Revelle, who was inducted into the NFCA Hall of Fame in 2010, led the Huskers to 20 appearances in the NCAA tournaments during her first 24 seasons at the helm.
Nebraska has missed NCAA tournaments in the past three seasons. Behind a young pitching team, the team has scored 21 to 31 this season, including 9 to 14 in the Big Ten game. The Huskers lost 12 straight games in the middle of the season and 15 of 18 games.
The Huskers were 31-23 in 2018, but they have lost 10 of their last 11 games and missed the NCAA tournament.
Revelle, who played in Nebraska, led Nebraska to three appearances in the Women's College World Series (1998, 2002 and 2013). She has been named conference coach of the year four times.
